I got a tablet! (+ my favourite apps)

I have wanted a tablet for SO long and I finally have one! I knew I wanted a small tablet, like a Google Nexus 7 or an iPad Mini, then my parents bought my little brother a Samsung Galaxy Tab for his birthday and I played around on it and decided to get one for myself. My brother and I both got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8″ in White. These are currently on sale at PC World / Currys and Tescos for £138/£139, which is an amazing price. Somehow it’s actually cheaper to get the 8″ one than the 7″ one (weird). This tablet comes with 16gb memory and an additional 16gb micro sd memory card, (so I can take infinite pictures and put all of my Nirvana on it.)

My favourite apps so far:

Bloglovin is great to catch up with all my favourite blogs anywhere! I don’t use Bloglovin on my Macbook now at all, because I enjoy reading blogs in bed with my tablet.

Microsoft OneNote is a lifesaver for A-Levels. Seriously, I put all of my notes in OneNote notebooks on my Macbook, and they’re automatically on my tablet too, and vice versa. This has been unbelievably useful, and I will continue to use it when I start uni in September.

Netflix & YouTube are great for watching videos in bed, and on my desk while I’m revising.

Spotify contains all of my favourite music in Playlists, which saves me from transferring tons of mp3 files. I recently won a 12 month Spotify subscription, and I’m very grateful for it!

Twitter & Instagram: I really prefer the app for Twitter than the desktop version, and on my little iPhone 4, Instagram was always just a bit too small.

I ordered this gorgeous floral case from eBay for only £4.99 with free delivery, and I’m very impressed with the quality! This case is also available in purple and pink, but I preferred the white because it matches my tablet. When you shut the case, it automatically locks the screen, and when you open it the screen lights up, which is pretty cool, and it has an elastic strap to pull over to keep the case shut.

Above is what the case looks like open, and it can also be used as a stand, either in portrait or landscape mode. I use the case as a stand on my desk to watch Netflix or YouTube when I’m studying. This is what the back of the case looks like:

As you can probably tell, I am very very happy with my tablet! It was an amazing deal and I love my case too. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made, and it was totally worth all the dresses I had to sell on eBay.
