The other day I was lucky enough to win a goody bag filled with Barry M products from Dorothy Perkins on their Twitter. After the awful time I had at Heathrow saying goodbye to my boyfriend (more about that in my last post), I was so grateful to come home to a load of brand new makeup waiting for me! Expect lots of Barry M reviews from me over the next month or so…
I don’t buy lip products often, so I’m quite excited to try the Gelly Hi Shine lip crayons! I got sent a lovely combination of shades, including a nude, a pink and a coral. (The shades are Orion, Capella and Sigma if you’re interested!)
The other lip products I received were the Cor Balmy tinted lip balm in Adam & Eve, and the famous Genie lip paint, a green lipstick that turns pink when applied! The shade of pink is determined by the alkaline on your lips, so every persons exact colour is unique, and it lasts 8 hours apparently.
The Showgirl Extra Lengthening mascara is the only product I’ve tried out so far, and I love it. This mascara lengthens without looking clumpy or thick, so it makes my lashes look naturally longer! I’m really pale, so the Make Me Blush powder in the pastel pink shade ‘Fairy Cake’ is ideal for me, and I love the cute hearts on the packaging.
The nail paints I got sent are the Sunset Daylight Curing gel ones, in two gorgeous wine red and navy blue shades called ‘Fuchsia Generation’ and ‘You Drive Me Navy’. I’m excited to try these because with the Daylight Curing topcoat, these polishes rival pro salon gel nails! I also got a Gelly Hi Shine topcoat, which will be great with my normal nail polishes.
Thank-you to Dorothy Perkins for all of these products, I’ll write reviews once I’ve tried them all out!
