How To Capture Tuscan Style

This is a bit of a different topic for me, but today I’m talking about fashion. More specifically, the beautiful Italian fashion from Tuscany. I’m Italian on my Mother’s side, currently learning the language and studying the good old Romans at University. In fact, I’m graduating at the end of July and starting a Master’s degree, so you could say I’m a bit obsessed with Italy. Rome is amazing of course, but Italy has so much more to offer than just the capital. One particular place in Italy I’d love to visit, (other than Florence, Venice, and Milan), is Tuscany.…

London Attractions That Don’t Make The Postcards

If you’re taking a trip to London, chances are you have your sights set on a few attractions you’ve seen on postcards or in similar images of the city. Like a lot of major cities, London has a way of showing off its top sights and activities. For instance, you might want to walk by Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, or take a tour of Westminster Abbey. You might want to ride to the top of the London Eye, or walk across London Bridge. Or you could just be eyeing a trip to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre or the…

A Cute Pin Giveaway!

You may know that I collect patches for my denim jacket, but recently I’ve been getting more into pins as well. They’re adorable, and easy to add to my leather jacket, because my denim one has literally no room left on it. I definitely need to write an updated denim jacket patches blog post, and show you all my pin collection too, so stay tuned for that. Recently I ordered a load of cute summer-themed pins online, and of course, I don’t actually need this many, so I’ve decided to do a little giveaway. Yay! What pins can you win? A little…

Dream Home Wishlist

We’re moving house! For our Master’s year, my friends and I had originally intended to stay in our current maisonette, until the agency decided to put the rent up. I had a look around Rightmove and quickly realised that for less money, we could get a bigger place with a living room and a balcony, in East London not far from where we live now, so we jumped at the chance! These past few days have been really stressful trying to sort out a holding deposit, find a fourth flatmate, and figure out how we’re going to get together a…

Giraffe World Kitchen, Spitalfields

Last Tuesday I was lucky enough to get invited down to Giraffe World Kitchen in Spitalfields, which has recently been revamped. I’ve not been to Giraffe before, so I was excited to try out their menu, especially the desserts! As you can see from my pictures, it’s a lovely and vibrant place, with a totally friendly vibe! The music was good, and the staff were wonderful. Cocktails I’m a big cocktail fan, so I enjoyed trying out a few from their menu. We enjoyed them so much that we ended up buying ourselves a couple more to have with dessert. I…

Big Moe’s Diner, Whitechapel

The other night I decided to treat my boyfriend by taking him to a restaurant we’ve been meaning to check out for a while, Big Moe’s Diner in Whitechapel. It’s just a short bus journey from where we live, right next to Aldgate East station. Oh boy, we were impressed. Big Moe’s is an amazing retro 50’s-style American diner, it’s absolutely gorgeous inside, with great food and wonderful milkshakes. I loved the decor, and of course the retro music – yay for Elvis! Big Moe’s also have an upstairs floor for parties, which would be a pretty cool venue, and…

The London Beatles Store

Hi! Long time, no blog! I’ve been a bit MIA this past month due to final year exams, but they finished a few days ago so I’m freeeeee! (…except for working 5 days a week, and starting my Master’s degree in September…) Anyway, I’ve got lots of blog posts coming up in June, and hopefully some videos too. I’ve been busy with a few concerts (got Gorillaz coming up on June 8th too!), and I went to see the Addams Family Musical recently too – Carrie Hope Fletcher was amazing! So, on Monday I went to Baker Street for my…

Positive Changes I’m Making

Positive Changes I’m Making Hi! I had my first final year exam yesterday, and it went pretty well, so hopefully all the studying has paid off. I had a wander around the V&A Museum afterwards with my Grandad and his brother, which was a nice stress-free way to spend the afternoon. If you’ve not been, it’s definitely worth a visit – the Renaissance sculptures and the fashion exhibition are wonderful. I’m back to work tomorrow, with two more exams to go later in May –  it’s not over yet, but I’m nearly there! Recently I’ve been working on making a…

New Hair, New Me, with Rush Hair Enfield

New Hair, New Me, with Rush Hair Enfield On the day before I started my new job last month (at the Tower of London!), I was invited down to try the new Rush Hair salon in Enfield. It had been around 3 years since I last had a haircut, because I’ve had a lot of bad experiences in the past with hairdressers who don’t know how to deal with curly hair, but as Rush Hair are very popular and well-respected (with over 20 years of experience and lots of awards), I decided to give it a go. I met Senior Director…
