The Bluffer’s Guide to Social Media

You may have heard of the “Bluffer’s Guide” series, which has been around for 40 years now, providing bestselling compact guides for almost everything. The Bluffer’s Guide to Social Media is the latest one, written by Susie Boniface, a blogger and journalist. She definitely knows her stuff! I was sent a copy to review, and I was surprised at how small it is! I read the 128 pages of social media advice on a train journey, and although it wasn’t particularly new knowledge to me as a blogger and social media addict, I did learn some new things and it made me…

My New Glasses from Firmoo

As you may know, I’m quite short-sighted and have astigmatism (fun times), which means I wear contact lenses every day, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break and just wear glasses. Usually I only wear my glasses when I’m studying a lot, if I have exams, or if I don’t have time to get ready in the morning and put some contact lenses in. Recently I’ve been wanting to give my eyes a bit of a break, but I (stupidly) left my glasses at home in Devon.

Jewellery Box

Jewellery Box is one of those companies that I’ve been meaning to order from for a while, I’ve seen them featured on so many blogs, and they have so many cute pieces. I was having a browse last week, and was lusting over their nose studs in particular, as I haven’t changed mine since I got my nose pierced over a year ago! Jewellery Box tweeted me saying they’d send me over a few things to review, and I literally squealed with excitement and picked out my favourite necklace, earrings and nose stud eagerly.

Going Dark with Under Armour

I’ve mentioned a few times on my blog and in my vlogs that I joined the gym in November and have been going somewhat regularly since then. After a little break when I went home to Devon for a week, then stayed a bit longer because I had a cold, it’s been a little difficult to get back into the swing of going to the gym every other day. Under Armour motivated me by inviting me to join their #GoneDark challenge, which was perfect timing really! I joined several athletes by ‘going dark’ on social media for 3 days, and…

Rebel of the Sands | Book Review

We all know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but just look at how beautiful this one is! Alwyn Hamilton’s debut novel, Rebel of the Sands, is my latest book obsession. “She’s more gunpowder than girl—and the fate of the desert lies in her hands.” – If that doesn’t intrigue you, what will? The main character Amani is everything I could have hoped for in a female protagonist, which is quite rare for a fantasy novel. She definitely has an interesting backstory – her mother was hanged for killing her father, and she’s desperate to run away to…

A little thank-you & a giveaway

Recently I reached 650 followers on bloglovin, and 600 on instagram, both of which I’m really grateful for (although we all know how much instagram followers fluctuate!). To say thank-you to those who take the time to read my blog, I’ve decided to host a little giveaway of a few beauty things.

Laser Hair Removal?

Whether you’re trying to treat a lot of unwanted body hair or just a little, it’s likely that you’re tired of always waxing or shaving. I certainly am! After all, why bother if the hair is just going to regrow within a week? Of course there are ways now to get rid of hair for much longer than that, but I find myself a bit confused about the options, so I’ve never actually given them a try. Most of them fall under the category of light treatments, but that category branches off into Intense Pulsed Light procedures and laser light procedures.…
