My Rose Fairy Lights from Blaze On

Today’s post is about the gorgeous fairy lights that I’m using to decorate the pin-board above my desk at university. Blaze On, an ethical company that sells fairy lights and candles, were kind enough to send me some handmade fairy lights to review. After much deliberation (they have so many beautiful designs), I eventually chose the “Chelsea Rose” ones in the colour “Summer’s Bouquet”, which is a lovely variety of pinks and cream. I got the smaller length, which comes with 20 LED roses – the perfect size to display around my university pin-board. I’ll be writing a post showing all…

Clear Plastic Makeup Storage

I’m going to University in less than two weeks, so I’ve been buying a few storage items for my room in halls. I love the look of Muji makeup organisers, and everyone seems to be obsessed with them right now. Muji is a bit pricey for me, soI found a similar one on eBay for only £4.64 with free delivery!   This storage container is intended to hold 24 lipsticks, but I don’t have anywhere near that amount, so I’ve added my mascaras, lipglosses, lipbalms and a few other products to fill up the spaces. I’ve also got a small set of…

Luxury Jewellery from Kuka-Me

Today I’m gushing over the beautiful jewellery that I received in the post this morning… In June, I was lucky enough to win £120 to spend at luxury jewellery website Kuka-Me, from the lovely Catherine (at Not Dressed As Lamb). I spent quite a long time deciding what I wanted, because all of their jewellery is absolutely gorgeous, but I am definitely happy with what I eventually chose. All of Kuka-Me’s jewellery is made in the UK, from 90% recycled 18ct gold and silver – pretty cool huh? So, what jewellery did I pick out? The Summer Dreaming Wreath Ring immediately caught my eye,…

My Windowsill

This may seem a tad random, but strangely enough, I’ve decided to take pictures of my window and what’s on it for today’s blog post… (yeah I’m insane). My curtains are from Dunelm, and they match my bedding and walls. The bird print is adorable, and duck egg blue is my favourite colour. Dunelm have lots of other items in the ‘duck egg beautiful birds’ collection – I want it all! My windowsill itself may look a little bare, but my dressing table is directly in front of it, so it’s a bit difficult to reach with my lamp and mirror in the…

whatever snow does in summer

The weather’s been so lovely recently, so I’ve decided to share a few pictures from when I went out for a walk with my family last week at a nearby lake (I live in the Shire). I’m still in the middle of my A-Level exams, so I haven’t been online (or outside) much, but this was a nice break! This is a brief post, but I need to get back to my revision because I’m a mega nerd. Here are a few more pictures that I took during the walk: Pippa and Willy How beautiful is this dragonfly?! A cute little Ladybird…

My Mural on Canvas!

The lovely people over at CanvasDesignUK* were kind enough to send me a custom canvas with a design of my choice! I’ve wanted a canvas print of my Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter mural, so I sent them over a picture of it and they made me an awesome canvas. I designed the mural almost 2 years ago for a competition run by 20th Century Fox for their film with Tim Burton – Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. I ended up winning the competition and my mural design was spray painted on a huge canvas in London to advertise the film, I…

Splintered by A.G Howard | Book Review

I recently came across the Splintered series by A.G Howard, which is based on Alice in Wonderland. If you knew me, you’d know that I love Alice in Wonderland. Even my Kindle cover has a picture of Alice on it! (pictured below). It’s my all-time favourite Disney film, I love the original book and the Tim Burton adaptation, so of course I had to start reading the Splintered series. I downloaded the first book on Kindle because I couldn’t wait to get to Waterstones to get a copy of it, and I read the whole book within a week. I…
