Want some discount codes and free stuff?
Everything on this page is something I actually use, or have used enough to genuinely recommend.
There’s nothing here for the sake of filling space; I’d rather have a short list than a sprawling one full of things I’ve forgotten I signed up for.
Lifestyle
Thortful Greeting Cards
I design greeting cards for Thortful, which means you can send someone a card by me!
Check out my cards, and get 30% off with my referral link.
Alternatively, just mention the name Emily Underworld at checkout for your 30% off discount.
The discount works with any cards, not just my designs!
Papier Planners & Journals
My bullet journals have always come from Papier. The paper quality holds ink beautifully and their covers range from quietly minimal to properly gorgeous.
I always choose dotted pages and add my name to the front.
EMP Band Tees & Nerd Culture Merch
EMP is my favourite place to buy officially licensed merch from bands, video games, movies… all the nerdy stuff!
Entertainment
Audible Free Trial
I came to audiobooks later than I should have, and now I can’t imagine long walks or cooking without one playing. There’s something about a good narrator that makes a story feel entirely different.
- UK: Start a free 30-day Audible trial.
- US: Start a free 30-day Audible trial.
- Tip: Amazon Prime members get 2 free audiobooks instead of 1.
- Students: join Prime Student for a 6-month free trial and 2 audiobooks!
Food & Drink
Pact Coffee
What I love about Pact, beyond the quality of the coffee itself, is the ethics behind it.
They pay farmers an average of 55% above the Fairtrade base price — which means every morning cup is doing something good before the day has even started.
Gousto
Meal kits aren’t for everyone, but they’ve been genuinely useful for me, especially on the weeks when decision fatigue sets in and the idea of standing in a supermarket feels like too much.
Gousto‘s recipes are easy, the portions are sensible, and everything arrives ready to go.
HelloFresh
While Gousto is my favourite meal kit food box, I do enjoy Hello Fresh too.
I tend to check which recipes are available on both Gousto and HelloFresh then pick between the two.
Earn & Save
Small ways to make your money go a little further. I’ve written more about these in my post on making extra money online with minimal effort.
Both FreeTrade and Trading212 offer free shares when you sign up — no catch, no obligation to invest further.
- FreeTrade: free share worth between £10–£100.
- Trading212: free share worth up to £100 (or $100).
I’m not a financial advisor. My personal approach: deposit the minimum (£1), receive the free share, sell it immediately. When I joined FreeTrade I got a share worth £20. Not life-changing, but entirely free.
Airtime Rewards
Airtime Rewards is a great app that helps you save money on your phone bill!
You simply sign up for free and connect your bank card. Then when you shop at any of their connected retailers (Boots or Wilko for example), you earn money to reduce your phone bill.
Over 80 retailers are on Airtime Rewards, I really recommend joining if you’re in the UK. Use the code APEPAJ7W for a 50p bonus when you sign up, plus an extra £1 if you shop within 1 week.
TopCashBack
I use TopCashBack whenever purchasing anything online. It’s a website and app that gets you free cashback from thousands of online companies, including some of my favourites like eBay and Etsy.
They often have exclusive deals and high cashback offers, especially for bigger purchases like travel, tech, or home appliances. I use their Google Chrome extension to make sure I get cashback whenever possible.
I’ve received over £200 in free cashback from TopCashBack so far.
For Content Creators
Check out my Blogging Tools page for everything I use to manage and grow my blog.
Free Month of Tailwind
Using Tailwind helps me manage Pinterest so much more efficiently. I now have 13,000 followers and over 1.2 million monthly views on Pinterest!
It’s easier to bulk-upload and schedule pins on Tailwind than on Pinterest. Their templates make pin creation much quicker than Canva.
Plus the Communities feature is great for getting more eyes on your content and finding bloggers to connect with.
For more advice on how to grow your Pinterest account and get blog views, have a read of my Pinterest tips blog post.
Creative Market Free Digital Goods
Creative Market is a brilliant place for digital products. It’s where I bought my WordPress Theme, and where I often buy digital resources for graphic design.
Online Learning
I’m a huge fan of online classes. You can start a new creative hobby, improve your skills for work… pretty much anything you could ever want to learn.
Skillshare
Get a free unlimited trial for 1 month. I’m obsessed with Skillshare, and have had a membership for years. I use it to learn new art techniques, plus improve my photography and writing.
CreativeLive
While CreativeLive is a paid platform, you can watch free online classes 24/7. Take a look at what’s on now, and RSVP for upcoming classes you’re interested in.
That’s all folks!
