Edgy in Autumn with Deichmann

A few days ago, Deichmann released a new shoe range in collaboration with Hanneli Mustaparta, a gorgeous Norwegian fashion blogger with impeccable style (seriously, check out her blog!). There are 10 different styles in the collection, ranging from brogues to knee-high boots, and I was lucky enough to sample some of them. Of course I gravitated towards the biker-esque ankle boots and the grungy chunky zip-up shoes, because I’m really into 90’s edgy fashion right now. I unfortunately don’t have a…

The Cutest Pyjamas! ?

Recently I was looking for some cute new pyjamas for uni, and found these adorable Despicable Me fluffy unicorn ones in Primark. Cute and fluffy unicorn pjs to keep me warm in my student halls, how could I not get them?! I love the “It’s so fluffy” quote from Agnes on the front, she’s my favourite character (except for Gru of course!) It turned out that getting these was perfectly timed, because I joined a Twitter sleepover for bloggers that night!…

My favourite shampoo for curly hair

It’s quite difficult to find good hair products for curly hair that don’t break the bank. Sulphates and silicones are awful for curls, so I set out to find a sulphate-free shampoo, and a silicone-free conditioner, but most of them are pretty damn expensive. I’m a student, and I get through shampoo quite quickly because I have so much hair, so I can’t afford to spend £10 per bottle. I ended up browsing the ‘world beauty’ hair section in Sainsbury’s, which is…

10 things that made me happy in August

August was one of the hardest months for me ever. My boyfriend left on the 20th for his study abroad year in California, while I’m stuck here waiting to go back to London for university, knowing that I won’t enjoy it as much as I would with him. As I mentioned in my Life Lately post, we tried to make the most of the time we had left together by doing lots of fun things over the summer, so I’ve decided…

I Knew You Were Trouble by Paige Toon

The other day I received Paige Toon’s latest book to review, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’. Apparently this is the second book in a series, but I still enjoyed it without reading the first one. These books are about a girl called Jessie Jefferson, and her whirlwind life once she finds out her Dad is a famous rockstar. After Jessie has a holiday with her famous Dad in LA, she has to return to the UK for her normal school life. She ends…

Cute University Stuff from ASDA

Last year most of the things I got for my university halls room were from George @ ASDA, because their home section sells cheap but cute stuff. This year my halls room has a bigger bed (yay!), so I needed to get a new duvet cover and ended up getting some other things too…

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

I’ve heard a lot about #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso recently, so I ordered it on Amazon to read on the train to London. If people are still raving about it a year after it’s release, I figured it’d be worth a read! #GIRLBOSS is an autobiography of sorts by Sophia Amoruso, the founder and CEO of Nasty Gal. Nasty Gal started out as a small business on eBay, then developed into a multi-million dollar online shop. Sophia is definitely an exception in…
