  1. Dream Garden Wishlist

AD – This is a guest post all about creating a dream garden wishlist for the perfect outdoor space.

Intro from Emily: Since moving to London 4 years ago, the one thing that has been missing from each of my homes is a garden. I’m lucky enough to live right by Victoria Park and Regent’s Canal, but it’s not the same as having your own garden.

One of the highlights of going back to Devon in the summers is how lovely it is to spend time in nature, although I don’t miss the hayfever! Our flat at the moment has a cute little balcony, and when it gets a bit brighter, I’ll definitely put some plants on there.

I’m a firm believer that there’s nothing better for inner peace than spending time in nature. I love watching my witchcraft plants grow: my pink roses have already started budding and it’s February 1st! Although, my basil pictured above certainly doesn’t look happy at the moment. Anyway, keep reading for the perfect garden wishlist…

Dream Garden Wishlist

A house without a garden is like a dish without spice. A garden has so many advantages for your mind, body and health. Knowing how to create an outdoor space that is both practical and beautiful is like an art, but luckily these days you can find so much inspiration online. Pinterest is a great place to start!

Before even getting started, it is important to remember that you want your garden to represent your personality and taste. So, try to opt for items of decor and plants that would suit your lifestyle.

People who love gardening and spending time in their garden on a daily basis could opt for plants that are a bit more pretentious, while people who live a hectic life and are always on the move could create their own retreat space. Regardless of your likings and taste, the following ideas might inspire you to create your dream garden.

I’m into a bohemian witchy aesthetic, here are some plants and garden ornaments I love. Check out my plant love idea list on Amazon for more!

Make it Practical

Think about the functionality of your garden. Is it going to be a vegetable garden or a space where you relax? Plan everything carefully and consider where you want to place certain items.

If you’re planning to spend some time in the sun, you need to consider where to put your sun lounger. On the other hand, you could design a unique den with the help of your trees. By adding a few outdoor string lights, you could instantly change the atmosphere of the garden at night.

Don’t Forget About Plants

Flowers and plants play an important role in any garden. Make sure you choose plants that you know how to look after. If not, read the flower’s tags. Flowers bring a touch of colour and improve the background of your garden considerably. They are also a good source of fresh flowers for your living room area.

According to your needs and budget, you could easily create a practical place where you can cook. It can either be a barbecue or a simple fire bowl. Last but not least, add a table, a few chairs and a big umbrella, and the fun will be guaranteed.
