I made a rose gold charm bracelet! When I say I ‘made’ a bracelet, I mean I got some pliers to open a load of jump rings and fastened together some links and charms…

Introducing Jewellery Maker

Jewellery Maker is a UK company that sells everything you could ever need for making jewellery. Think beads, tools, even gemstones!

They have also created DIY sets, including all the bits you’ll need to create a lovely piece of jewellery. These would make a great gift idea, or a treat for yourself if you’ve ever wanted to try jewellery making.

Their website provides all the information needed, including jewellery making tutorials, tips and DIY ideas.

Jewellery Maker let me try out one of their new DIY bracelet box sets, which comes with everything you need to make a cute little charm bracelet (except for the pliers!).

I thought this would be fun activity to try out with my little brother. Of course I had to go for the rose gold one with leaf and heart charms, it’s very Grecian-looking and I study Classics you know!

In these little boxes, each type of link and charm comes neatly packaged individually, and there’s a set of easy-to-follow instructions. It comes with loads of charms, so you can put as many as you like on.

I kept mine quite minimal, because after a while it can get frustrating to open those tiny little jump rings, attach the charms and fix it together with pliers… I have a new-found respect for jewellery makers. I’m also very grateful to my little brother and his tiny hands that helped me make the bracelet!

Overall, I’m happy with how my bracelet looks, and it didn’t take quite as long to make as I thought it would.

All of these sets cost less than £10, and they’d make a great gift for somebody who likes jewellery or DIY, particularly young girls. I would have loved something like this when I was younger and had more patience!
